WHAT IF I'M NOT THE SUPERHERO..!

Sexuality: straight
Type: vegetarian]

His father was Gregory Mason Carter
His older brother was Brandon Gregory Carter

Strengths: Kale is loyal to his friends over anything else. He (usually) thinks things through before jumping into something. And, Kale is patient at just about everything he does.
Weaknesses: Kale often puts his friends above him, endangering his life in the process. He's also too eager to be a hero, so he will put himself in dangerous situations more often then not. Also, Kale sometimes can't control his thirst, and when that happens he loses control of his thoughts.
Ability: Kale's ability is that he can move objects with his mind. There's a lot too it, though. Some things are naturally easy, such as closing a door or moving a glass of water without touching it. Other things, like moving large objects or even people, take time and perfect, patient concentration. His gift is stronger when he's closer to the object that he's trying to move or when he's had human blood, but since he's sworn off human blood it takes Kale time to perfect his ability.
Vehicle: black mustang
School: Forks High School
Location: As of now, Forks, but he moves around a lot.

DO I DAZZLE YOU..!
Personality: I suppose that the perfect definition of Kale would be the troubelled youth that wants more then anything to turn his life around and be a hero. He's rather complex, his mood changing swiftly at times depending on who he's with and what these people say to him. But when you find a friend in Kale, you've found a friend for, literally, an eternity. Thanks to his past, Kale stays completely devoted to his friends. He's insanely protective of anyone he loves, and would sacrifice himself for a friend any day. Talk about devotion. In a way he's like a golden retriever, always there when you need a shoulder to cry on. Kale can listen to people talk about their problems for hours and hours. But he doesn't talk about his. He'll help those who pour their souls to him, but he only pours his soul out into his journal.
Kale is always getting into trouble. Not trouble in school, no he's great when he's there, but outside of school is where the problems lie. He's too eager to be the superhero, too eager to jump in front of a bullet for someone. Because of his past, he feels that it's his job to protect people, instead of cause harm. You see someone in trouble, Kale tries to be there to help. Since he doesn't feed on human blood, though, he's often tired by his "heroics." This poses a problem. When Kale doesn't have human blood in his system, he loses control very easily. He doesn't even know what he's doing when it happens. Whenever he can help it, though, he stays away from human blood and sticks to the animals. He's only had human blood a few times in his immortal life, and every time he feels guiltier and guiltier.
One of his favorite past-times is perfecting his ability of moving objects with his mind. Kale is absolutely fascinated by it, and he always gets so into practicing it that sometimes he doesn't realize what he's doing. Though he tries to hide it from people, sometimes he can't resist closing the door with his mind to startle a human, or move their water glass when they're not looking. He's not very careful about hiding his gift, though, which is a problem because of the risk of being caught. In any other situation, though, Kale is careful and thinks things through. He's insanely patient, mainly because his gift requires it, and doesn't mind standing still for hours without doing anything.
His main fear is fire. It's weird, isn't it, a vampire afraid of something? But Kale is deathly afraid of fire. Even those small campfires make him squirm uncomfortably. Everything else he can deal with, but fire is a huge no. That's the main reason he came to Forks; it's always rainy or snowy or cloudy. He won't be staying at Forks long, though. Kale is like a nomad, never staying in one place for too long. It hurts him to leave his friends when he eventually does leave, but if he feels he's bringing them danger, or if too much time has gone by, Kale decides to leave. He's willing to befriend anyone with time, though don't expect to become best buddies right away. He's a loyal friend, yes, but it takes a long time for him to warm up to you./i]
Physical Description: Kale, of course, has that vampire beauty about him. With the pale, porcelain skin, golden amber eyes and his dusty brown hair, he's definitely not bad looking. He's taller then most at his (frozen) age, standing at about 5'8. There is a bit of muscle along his arms, but he's not exactly body-builder material. His skin is flawless and pale, bringing out the depth in his normally golden-amber eyes. His hair is short in length and is a light brown coloring, not quite blonde but not very dark either. He's often wearing casual clothes, nothing fancy so he doesn't attract attention to himself.
Kale's face is very defined. His eyes are somewhat small and his lips a bit big, though, but it's nothing noticeable. His eyebrows are set perfectly above his eyes and his nose is shaped like any average nose. Really there isn't much special about him, other then the fact that he is indeed a vampire with an odd beauty about him.

YOU DON'T SEEM SEVENTEEN..!
Past History:Wow, where on Earth to begin? I suppose his birth, right?
Kale was born in the winter of 1909, and was the middle child of Rosaline and Gregory Carter. He already had an older brother, one that went by the name of Brandon. Brandon was three-years-old when Kale was born. Sibling rivalry did happen as they got older, there's no denying it. Brandon was... perfect, in a way. His father adored him and his mother gave him whatever he liked. He was the straight-A student, the goody-goody, and the one that everyone just couldn't help but love. Kale... well, his grades were never great growing up, and he tended to act out a lot in school, and he was bitter to his parents' visitors. You can see why Brandon was more liked.
When Kale turned seven, his little sister and best friend was born. A beautiful baby by the name of Mae came into his life that spring, and she was his everything. Of course she got a lot of attention, but for some reason Kale didn't care. Even when his sister was a baby he became completely devoted to her, and he wanted to be the best big brother she'd have. Brandon wasn't like that, though. He was used to getting all of the attention, and when baby Mae came she stole that all from him. Since Mae, at the time, was only a baby, Brandon took out his anger on Kale. The two brothers often fought, Kale normally defending Mae from his brother's insults.
He wasn't only getting into fights with his brother, though. When he hit his teenage years, his violence stretched into his school and social life. Kale's brother was normally behind it, telling his friends that Kale said stuff about them or spreading rumors about him, just to torment him. Kale would come home beaten up or having beat someone up, and his fighting only got better as time went by. But at the end of the day he turned to his journal or Mae, who was six when the fights started to happen.
When Kale turned sixteen, things started to get bad financially for the family. Wanting to help, Kale turned to a group of thugs at the school, who offered him a lot of money for him doing certain tasks. When he told his parents that he was at work, Kale was really out stealing something or hurting someone. He hated doing it, but he felt like he had to. And it did help; his money made an impact on the situation. Things went smoothly for awhile, for Kale was sneaky and quick. But things took a turn for the worse one cold night when he was seventeen years old.
Someone had caught on to the group of thugs stealing stuff, and they were definitely going to stop it one way or the other. A group of men, ranging from eighteen to twenty-some, came and cornered Kale and his gang in an alley one night. Things started out bad enough, with pushing and punching, but then someone pulled out a knife. They were aiming to stab one of Kale's friends, when Kale jumped in the way. Everyone fleed, including the person he thought was his friend. Kale was left bleeding in the alley.
That was when he first saw her. To him, it was like seeing an angel. A beautiful woman with pale, porcelain doll skin and long black hair. There was only one thing that frightened him, and that was her eyes. They were red, blood-red, and Kale believed that he was dreaming. That dream became a nightmare, though, as the woman kneeled beside him, whispered something inaudible, and then bit into his neck with her fangs. Kale was stunned by the pain, he felt like he was on fire as he convulsed in the alley. What was happening to him? He'd felt like dying, and by the time it was over he thought he was dead.
But he wasn't. He opened his eyes inside a small shack. Curious, Kale decided to look around, when he saw his reflection in the mirror. He wasn't the same. His skin was now pale white, and his eyes the same, frightening red as the woman. The woman found him instantly, and it didn't take long before she explained everything to him. She said that her name was Wren, and that she was a vampire. She told Kale that she'd seen him lying on the ground, dying, and had known by instinct that he really was a good person. So, instead of letting him die, she decided to change him.
Kale demanded that he go and see his family again, but Wren refused. She explained that, if he did, he'd kill them from the thirst that was coming on. So Kale stayed with Wren, learning how to hunt in secrecy. But by killing people he felt guilty, so he asked her if there was any other way. Wren suggested animal blood, and at first Kale found it difficult, but he figured that he'd rather drink that then the blood of a human. Wren also helped Kale develop his new gift, telling him that a few vampires were blessed with an ability of their own. The two became close, in fact they were best friends after time. When ten years came, she decided that it would be safe for Kale to see his family.
He returned home to the worst shock imaginable. His house was burning down, and he could hear the screams of his family inside. Kale wanted to save them, but Wren held him back. She told him that he'd burn to death if he tried, but Kale insisted that he didn't care. But Wren was stronger because of the human blood that she drank, and was able to hold him back. Kale watched his house fall to the ground, his family and everything he owned inside, even his journal.
After that, he decided to just leave. He didn't say goodbye to Wren, feeling betrayed because she didn't let him save his family. Kalewent off to Alaska, buying a new notebook on the way, for his old one had burned in the fire. Alaska was too boring, though, and lonely, so Kale left after a few months, ending up in Seattle, Washington. That was where he met Ms. Vaida Marie Thompson.
Vaida looked exactly like Mae had, except older. Her hair was the same, eyes the same, everything. That drew Kale to her, in a protective sort of way. But as the two grew closer, Kale felt the urge to change her, to know that he'd have Vaida forever. When Vaida turned sixteen, Kale did it. He bit her, nearly losing control and killing her in the process. When Vaida woke up again, she was absolutely furious. Kale knew that she was betrayed and, most of all, scared. He told her he'd help her, but she didn't listen. Vaida ran off, never to be seen again.
Since then, Kale has been alone. He'd meet people as he came and went, but nobody stayed, because he never did either. His wandering led him to Forks, and to him that was the picture perfect enviorment. Now Kale thrives there, just waiting until it's time to leave again.
