[/b] Luke isn't exactly the most social person out there. He prefers to be a part of the background, to blend in with the crowd. Of course he'll talk when spoken to, but normally isn't the one to start the conversation unless something interesting catches his attention. He's used to moving around a lot, so Luke tends to not get close to people right away because he suspects he'll be moving on sooner or later. He doesn't move because his parents move, no, he moves from one foster family to another, and very often it seems. For the longest time Luke was a troublemaker, never wanting to stick with the other foster families he's been in, but he's come to think of the Camerons as a real family, which is why he's stopped causing problems and is just trying to settle in for the last year.Personality:
Luke spends a lot of his time drawing, though his main topics seem to be portraits or more of a supernatural subject. He likes to draw things with realistic detail, tending to stray away from the anime or cartoon types of drawings. He draws what he sees, and often what he dreams of. Most of his dreams involve creatures of the night, involve vampires and werewolves, but of course he doesn't actually believe in them. Luke loves a good ol' horror movie and/or novel and has seen everything from the classic Nightmare on Elm street movies to the new horror movies. He's not really sure why he likes them so much, but they catch his interest all too easily.
Luke is terrified of water. He has been since he was little and nearly drowned in Lake Eerie when caught by the undertow. You can't get him three feet near any type of water, even a pool sometimes. The feeling of nearly drowning always lingers in him, the memory of the suffocation. He hasn't been swimming since that day, always too scared to even glance at the water. Luke hasn't voiced his fear of water to anyone except his family. He believes people will mock him for this fear, call him childish, so he just doesn't tell anyone. Instead he just avoids water at all costs, and being such a good liar as he is makes that pretty simple. Still, when forced to be near water he tends to panic, blowing his cover.
He absolutely adores his young foster siblings, Megan and Marty. He'd do anything for them, do anything to protect them. Luke doesn't mind that his two best friends are five year old kids; he likes being around them and spending time with them. They don't judge him, in fact they idolize him, and they treat him like a true brother. The two of them are normally the subjects for when he draws portraits, and they love being drawn or having Luke draw pictures for them.
Physical Description:[/b] Let's start out with the basics. Luke is fairly tall, standing at about 5'8, and is actually very fit. He has well-muscled arms, easy to see when he's wearing short sleeved shirts, which he often wears when it's warm enough. Sadly for him, though, Forks is a very rainy and cold city, so Luke is often wearing hoodies and jeans to keep himself warm. He tends to stick to the casual stuff, such as solid colors. He doesn't like to stand out after all, and therefore doesn't wear any clothes that stand out. A lot of the time he's seen with headphones in his ears or a pencil in his hand, and he's almost never seen without his sketchbook, which he guards with his life.
He's got a creamy, somewhat pale skin tone that of course isn't quite vampire pale. His eyes are a warm, light brown color, and almost always seem to have that sad puppy dog look about them. His eyes are often glued to a piece of paper, since he's often seen drawing. Luke has long, dark brown hair that he tries to keep from getting too messy, but sometimes that isn't exactly possible. Whenever it isn't though he just pulls the hood up on his hoodie as a normally failed attempt to hide his messy hair. Basically there isn't much about him that stands out, which is what he wants. Luke blends in very well with the crowd both personality-wise and appearance-wise.
The only things about him that stand out are hidden by clothes, or too small to notice. Like the scar on his back that he got when an old neighbor's cat scratched him. It isn't all that noticeable, though his skin is paler where the scar is. His right eyebrow is missing just a little bit of hair, again from this same cat, who scratched there just barely missing his eye. The hair for that eyebrow never grew back. Other then these tiny details, Luke isn't anything different or special. He's like an extra in a movie, or an innocent bystander, always there but never sticking out, never looking different then anyone else.

[/b] Luke was born as Luke Aiden Alexander, born to young Amie and Damien Alexander. They were a simple, stereotypical picket-fence family. They had a nice house in a quiet neighborhood and, on the outside, appeared to be a picture perfect family. Luke was too young to understand how lucky he had it, to understand how many people would kill for the life he had. He was close to both of his parents growing up and was a model child. His grades were wonderful, and even at such a young age he was already showing a talent for drawing. The only real tragedy the family had faced for the longest time was when Luke nearly drowned at age seven, but that eventually passed and things went back to normal.Past History:
Until the fire. Luke was ten years old when he lost both of his parents in a fire. He'd been at a friend's house when it happened, and was completely devastated to find that he no longer had his parents. The child became much more withdrawn and quiet, spending a lot of time drawing pictures of his mom and dad, since all the photographs were lost in the fire. For a couple of years Luke lived with his grandmother, which was a nice thing for him. His grandma was very family-oriented and kind, but also very old and sickly. After three years of living with her she passed away, and Luke was alone again. This time he had no relative to go to, and he was placed in foster care. Luke was still withdrawn and distant, and being a teenager now that soon grew into rebellion. He started to cause trouble, doing things from sneaking out to stealing, which sort of worried his foster family. He was placed with a new family soon after.
This new family Luke actually liked. He had an older brother now, one that he looked up to and tended to follow around like a puppy. He'd stopped rebelling and being so withdrawn and finally started to come out of his shell. But Luke was discovering that all good things came to an end. He was hanging out with his brother and friends, when one of his brother's friends showed up with something "cool that he snuck out of his parent's closet." It was a gun, that the boy claimed wasn't loaded. He'd been wrong. The gun accidentally went off, the bullet hitting Luke's brother and killing him instantly. This event sparked Luke's fear of guns, and caused him again to be sent to a new foster home due to the parents' grief for their son.
Luke was sent from one foster home to the next after that, none really able to get him out of the shell he'd hidden himself in again. Finally, though, he was sent to the Cameron family in Forks, Washington. At first Luke wasn't thrilled to be moving to the small town with yet another new family, but eventually the Cameron's grew on him, especially the twins Megan and Marty. Luke began to look after them like they were his actual siblings, acting like his former foster brother had acted to him. He's growing closer to the family to this day and his finally beginning to settle in with them. For the first time in a long time Luke feels like he has a family, and never wants to have to leave them.
