PERSONALITY: Not exactly the most outgoing person, Samantha is considered to be one of those "shy" people, though she's not shy at all. She would much rather sit at a table by herself to study or read than sit at a group of people and gossip about the latest break up. Despite her preference, she isn't shy and actually does enjoying talking to people. She would just pick being alone than in a crowd than anything. But this doesn't make her sad or depressed as many people like to be. In fact its quite opposite. Sam is a happy child, she may not smile as often as other happy people but inside there's nothing wrong with her. She tends to keep a stoic face, even when she's excited beyond belief. It just happens without her realizing it.
Along with the stoic face, she comes off as rude or even unemotional to people but that's not the case. She may look unamused but she could be nervous on the inside and have butterflies. Sam just doesn't know when she's showing emotion or not. She doesn't pay attention to anything. Even though she can make things a bit awkward, she enjoys a good conversation with somebody and does like making friends. She's just a bit weird about going about it. Normally out in public she tends to be distant and a little reserved but when she's home and with her family, she's a bustling little ball of energy. She talks a lot, helps cook and clean, laughs and smiles nonstop. It just takes people a little while to break through her little awkward shell for them to see the real her.
PHYSICAL: A tall beauty, quite literally, Sam is basically known for her looks and height. Coming up to around five foot eight (or at aleast, that's the last time she's checked, she could possibly be an inch taller now), she's pretty tall compared to some other girls, especially those of her descent. Coming from a Spanish-Greek-Native American family, she's got a little bit of everything nice mixed into her genes. Sam has long, thick dark brown hair that looks silky but tends to be thicker than people expect. Normally worn curly since that's how it is naturally, she straightens it occasionally. More often than usual, she puts her hair up in a ponytail by the end of the day. Matching her dark brown almost black hair, she has tanned olive skin thanks to all three ethnicities. Her skin tends to get a bit paler than normal in winter but she easily regains her tan back in summer as she tans in natural sunlight after about an hour of being outside.
More than once a day she gets complimented on her eyes, and she knows they're pretty since its always been that way. With green cat like eyes, she usually looks fairly stunning when she puts on any type of make up as the dark colors she used make her eye color pop. Sam's eyes tend to change in sunlight, but its not much. Just a more intense green or a more hazel like green. When it comes to make up, she usually likes to keep it strictly to her eyes, sometimes going for an all out smoky and piercing eye. Other day she simply puts on eyeliner on her waterline and goes about her day. Its practically the same with her clothes. Half the time she dresses fairly chic, preferring to stick to her own style mixed in with some current fads. The other half of the time, she dresses in sweat pants and a sweatshirt because she's too lazy to do much else. All in all, the only thing that makes her stick out is her piercing eyes, full lips, and tan skin in such a sun-deprived place.
On her left foot, she has a simply design moving into a swirl like form with a star in one of the curves. On her shoulder, she has a tattoo she doesn't show many people. The tattoo spans from her left shoulder to her spine and says "“My mother is the heart that keeps me alive” with a few stars added. With that, Sam has her ears pierced as well as her belly button.
HISTORY: In 1986, Katalina and Javier Vasquez moved from Madrin, Spain to New York City, New York, USA in hopes of starting a new life. At 24 years old and three months pregnant, Katalina had only wanted the best for her baby and Javier had his mind set on making their life the best in this new country. Only Katalina spoke English, but it was broken and she had a heavy accent. Despite that, she had to teach Javier how to speak so he could get a job, and after awhile he did. He managed to get a job at a construction company, fixing and building many things. After months of doing the hard work, his back slowly started to give out and before long, he had to go to the hospital to have surgery on a slipped disk. After that, once he had finally managed to recover, Javier could only get small and weak jobs where he wasn't required to lift heavy objects or stand in one spot all day.
The month of October rolled around, and by then the married couple had moved from Queens, New York City to Rochester, settling in and buying a small apartment there. On the twenty seventh of that month, Samantha was born. Growing up in the small apartment was hard, and she didn't get everything that all the other kids got, but Sam never noticed. She was a happy child as long as she had a book in her hands or a piece of paper and a pen. Even before she could read or write, she would like to look at books. Picture books and long fictional ones. As she grew up and learned how to read and write in school, she learned Spanish at home. Each day at school she would speak English and have many tests over it. Then the moment she got home she would have to speak in Spanish to her parents and practice her "Vocab" that her mother usually gave her. Sparking the new idea, Katalina, who had her bachelor's degree, convinced her husband to move from Rochestor to a small town where she would be able to teach Spanish to school students. After weeks of debating, Javier finally agreed.
At six years old, Samantha and her parents moved to Hillsboro, Oregon where her mother got hired as a high school teacher. Meanwhile, Javier took a job as a janitor at the elementary school. With both her parents as teachers at her schools, Samantha group up with her parents always around. Before she was thirteen, Samantha's grandmother from her mother's side moved from Spain to live with them as she missed her daughter. As Samantha started to get older, she noticed more and more of her family from Spain moving to America somewhere. When she was just a sophomore in high school, once again the Vasquez's moved. This time their move would be final as they wanted Sam to finish high school and go to college. Now living in Forks, Washington, the family settled into a small but cozy house. Katalina became a teacher at Forks High School, teaching Spanish once again while Javier managed to buy a small abandoned diner and transform it into a small cafe.
Samantha's high school life was boring, everything about her life was boring to her but she was fine with that. She didn't make many friends, sticking to herself and her family. As a senior, her aunt from her father's side and her five cousins moved from Madrid to Seattle, Washington to be closer to their relatives. After graduation day passed, Samantha and two of her cousins all went to the same college; the community college in Port Angeles. The girls continued to live with their parents, and still do to this day, all freshman in college still. After living a boring life, Sam is hoping her college experience will be better than her less than average teen life.

Running late. As usual. It seemed like the poor teenager could be on time to anything important. She wasn't even exactly sure how she always managed to show up late to events, it just seemed to happen. She could start getting ready three hours earlier but still end up beind late. It was like a curse. Or rather, another curse in her case. As Ramani ran around her room in a rush, she dug threw the boxes that still sat around. She had been way too lazy to finish unpacking her stuff, so she had to dig through the boxes each time she needed something. Glancing over at the clock on her bed side table, her eyes widened. Crap! Her cousin was going to be so mad at her if she took any more time. Letting out a slight, unhuman growl, she gave up on trying to find the hair clip she wanted. Glancing at the full length mirror that leaned against the wall, she made sure she looked okay.
The "date" with her cousin wasn't a formal one, no way. It was just a simple, casual "hey-let's-catch-up" type of deal. Which was fine in Ramani's eyes. It was rare for her to communicate with anybody from her family usually. Having lost her older sister before she got the chance to meet her left Ramani a bit skeptical on wanting to meet any other family members. Having been in Forks for many months, she hadn't even been able to meet her older brother as he refused to come home to the home that Amberlee Marie Kubiak had once lived in. The Quileute descendent didn't blame him though. Ramani hardly wanted to be in the house either, which was the reason she always left to go to a friends or Luke's. Having been lost in her thoughts for a few minutes, she shook her head. "He's going to kill me.." Grabbing her cell phone of the bed side table, she put it in her shorts pocket before walking out of her room and shutting the door.
The girl didn't even bother to tell her mother where she was going. Sarah Kubiak wouldn't have cared anyways. The woman stayed in her room most time, only coming out to yell at Ramani or get some food. Sighing, Ramani quickly left the house, her tan legs carrying her in a fast walk. She was headed to the La Push's infamous Rivers Edge Restaurant. The food was simply delicious and cheap. So it was a popular place to have lunch or dinner at. As she neared the restaurant, she started biting her lip. She hadn't seen Beck in weeks as she had avoided any contact with family. So what was he going to say to her? Was he going to yell at her for avoiding his family? Reaching the entrance of the food place, she shoved all negative thoughts from her mind and stepped inside the place. Looking at the hostess, she gave her a small smile. "I'm looking for Beck Redbird uh... brown hair, teenager, really tall and tan?" Althought Ramani had been in Forks for awhile, she was still new to the way restaurants worked. When the hostess pointed to a table in the restaurant, she looked in the direction the girl had pointed it, easily spotting her cousin. Nodding to the hostess, Ramani walked over to the table her cousin sat at. As soon as she reached it, she quickly took a seat in the chair across from the tan boy. "Sorry I'm late, but I'm here now!" Flashing Beck a small smile, she glanced around nervously. Oh boy.
